Of course the ‘right’ thing to do is buy the album and give the guys their due dollars. But who doesn’t allegedly get a kick out of hearing it before you’re supposed to? Eh, nobody. Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories is still a dope album that may possibly change the way people look at EDM and go about producing it. All we can hope for now is that someone can do for distribution what Daft Punk is doing for production – bring it into 2013. Take a look at Gramatik. Take a look at Pretty Lights. Times are allegedly changing, let’s hope the industry can catch up.
